Hola!
I’m Sofia, born and raised in Mexico City and proud to call San Antonio home since 2008. I’ve loved watching the city grow into the incredible food destination it is today.
I’m a pastry chef and a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America–San Antonio, with a passion for thoughtful, technique-driven desserts. Over the years, I’ve run my own kitchen, competed on Food Network, started a small business, and collaborated with chefs and creatives I deeply admire.
In 2022, I was nominated for Outstanding Pastry Chef by the James Beard Foundation and named Pastry Chef of the Year by the Texas Chefs Association and CultureMap in both 2022 and 2023. I’m also a Chef Ambassador for Nielsen-Massey Vanillas and have proudly served as a UNESCO Chef Ambassador for San Antonio’s City of Gastronomy.
I currently work seasonally at the Winnetu Oceanside Resort in Edgartown, Massachusetts (May–October) and spend the rest of the year continuing my work in San Antonio.
